The first product I have is from MAC, it's their Pro Longwear Concealer in the shade NC15. I'm quite tan at the moment so this is such a perfect highlight shade for under my eyes, down my nose and on my chin and forehead. I have to admit that even though the girls in MAC say this product is perfect for under your eyes as it doesn't crease, I have noticed that it does crease a little bit but you wouldn't notice it unless you actually pointed it out to someone and they were looking for the creasing. I really recommend this concealer! It is a bit pricey for a concealer as it retails for €18.50 in BT2 but it will last a very long time as you only need barely even one pump to do your whole face.
The second product I have is one of the NYX Butter Glosses in the shade Crème Brulee. This is a gorgeous nude pink colour. NYX claim that this product can be used alone and can be built to a medium coverage without ever being sticky, they also say it provides nourishment while also giving you the perfect pout. All these claims are so true! Using a shade that matches your lipstick is perfect but its also great that you can use it alone and still have great colour pay-off while you're on the go! The Butter Gloss is a gloss that isn't sticky at all so thats a plus! Finally, this is such a hydrating product in my opinion, my lips are still so soft after a take the product off! These Butter Glosses retail for around €6.49 so if you don't like it, it wasn't a total waste of money.
The third product I have is a Maybelline Baby Lips in the shade Pink Punch. This shade is a nice pink colour. Maybelline claim that your lips will be moisturised for up to 8 hours and your lips will be renewed after 1 week. A lot of Youtubers rave about this product and say that it gives a sheer colour while moisturising your lips, but in my opinion, the shade I got gives too much of a bright pink colour to my lips which means I can't just pop on my lips while I'm running out the door with no makeup on. Also the fact that its a bright pink colour just makes my teeth look quite yellow which is annoying. I've only ever worn this product to bed if a feel like my lips are becoming chapped and it has worked but I just can't wear this shade on a no makeup day which is annoying. They retail for €3.99 in most places which stock Maybelline.
The final product that I have which I bought after seeing many Youtubers use it, is the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. This is the only powder I have ever used and up until lately it worked great. For some reason it just isn't working well anymore. The oil is coming through my makeup like it never has before. I'm not sure if Rimmel changed their formula but I'm not a fan of this product anymore. It retails for €7.95 in Boots
Now on to some things I've found myself! I absolutely adore the Catrice Allround Concealer Palette. In this palette there are three skin shades to cover imperfections, there is a pink shade to conceal dark circles and theres a green shade to neutralise redness. I found this little lifesaver two years ago when I was in Penneys/Primark. I thought it would be good to try as i had pretty bad skin. I prefer to use this product over my foundation as it gives a better result. I feel that there is a perfect selection of shades for my skintone, whether I want to conceal or highlight! Unfortunately this product doesn't come in any other shade selections so it isn't ideal for women of colour which I feel can a big down fall for many drugstore brands. For €3.50 you really can't go wrong!
Another product I love is a MAC eyeshadow in the colour Corduroy. I picked this shadow up about 2 years ago to fill in my eyebrows because I had been using Busted from the Naked 2 palette.. it is such a wrong thing to do because there were tiny tiny specks of shimmer in it so I needed to find something new! Corduroy is the perfect colour for me, it matches my hair so well! It is sold at all MAC counters for €16.50
The final makeup product I'm going to mention is the Benefit Sugarbomb blush! This blush is a mixture of 4 shimmery peach, soft plum, pink and rose colours that you can swirl together to make the perfect peachy pink blush. This shade really makes your cheeks pop and look so high if you apply it up on the cheek bone and work towards the apple of your cheek. I think this blush is a two-in-one product because i don't feel like you need to hilight after using this product! It costs €34 in Debenhams, which is a bit expensive but I have had mine for so long! It last such a long time!
So they were some of the makeup products I regret buying and some of the makeup products I think everyone should own. If you want you can follow me on twitter @Niamh_156 and Instagram @niamhsmith_97 or feel free to email me at Niamhsmith10@icloud.com
